(The suggestion is to bring your laptop and work through a tutorial.) The POPL08 tutorial put together by the POPLMark group includes a self-contained Coq tutorial, which is as good as any I've seen and should provide a sufficient starting point. The main page for the POPL08 tutorial is: http://www.cis.upenn.edu/~plclub/popl08-tutorial >From that page, you can download the tutorial sources: http://www.cis.upenn.edu/~plclub/popl08-tutorial/code/coq-tutorial.zip Also, there is a pointer to a page describing how to install Coq (and, optionally, ProofGeneral, an Emacs IDE for Coq and other interactive theorem provers): http://alliance.seas.upenn.edu/~plclub/cgi-bin/poplmark/index.php?title=Installing_Coq The self-contained Coq tutorial is included in the tutorial sources as a file named CoqIntro.v. -Matthew From robby at cs.uchicago.edu Sun Jan 27 15:52:24 2008 From: robby at cs.uchicago.edu (Robby Findler) Date: Sun Jan 27 15:41:59 2008 Subject: [Hyper] Coq tutorial In-Reply-To: References: Message-ID: <932b2f1f0801271352v1308c470oa4ee46cc0615aff8@mail.gmail.com> I have about 1 million (well, like 20 or 30) copies of the CDs from that tutorial if anyone wants one. They are in my office. Unfortunately I won't be able to make the Jan 31 meeting, but maybe someone who is can grab a bunch of them?
